Recently I was interviewed by Tim Bourquin, founder of the New Media Expo, about how I make money using podcasting to driving traffic to membership sites.
Last year Tim sold the New Media Expo to BlogWorld Expo. Since then I’ve had my eyes open for his next move. He’s always got a keen mind when it comes to business and new media. His new site is MemberCon: Membership Site Tips, Tricks and Secrets.
Catch the interview with me here (19m30s). During the interview I share several specific tips about my new media strategies, sales funnel and membership site business model.
I really like how Tim has made multiple media available for consuming the content including: audio for download, streaming video with slide deck and transcripts. It’s always a great idea to offer as many formats as your resources will allow.

Hi there
Thanks for the mail
I’m really up in the air and need some advice.
I’ve been working in the education sector for the past 20 years WOW!!!!!
And have recently come across your site I would also like to make money and have tried on various occasions.
What advice can you give me on how to get started? I’d like to join the academy but cannot afford 500 dollars a month, what does one do?
Regards
Antony

Antony,
The Internet Business Mastery Academy is a great place to start. It’s not $500 a month. It’s $97 a month.
The other advice I have is to find the blogs/sites of one or two people doing something similar to what you want to do and study carefully everything that they do.

Hi Jason, long time reader, first time commenter.
Query: I’m looking for podcast directory usage/traffic, by region (US, UK, Pacifica, etc). Have searched thoroughly to no avail. If you have any good sources, references or ideas for this info I’d be greatful. Thanks in advance.
About me: ex-Radio producer – providing podcast, social media and ‘online media channel’ solutions for SMO’s in the UK.
Cheers

Hi Kalais,
I guess that depends on what you mean by usage. The only thing that I know is publicly available is an idea of traffic. I suggest taking a look at Alexa or Compete to see what data they might have.

Hi Jason, The heading of this section is “My Proven Six-figure Sales…” Just asking, does the artical refer to what podcaster look forward to down the road?

@Jay,
This speaks to what I have been able to do with podcasting and how I did it. It certainly means that other podcasters could also achieve similar results.
