New Media Quick Clicks | September 29

link-cursorWe’re going to pick up a feature that I tried briefly a couple year’s ago. I come across a lot of great links, resources and articles on a day-to-day basis. A lot of these I’ll share right away in my Twitter stream (so I recommend following me there as well).

I’m trying out a new system for posting the best of these resources shared here on my blog as well with a short clip of commentary. We’ll see how it goes. I’m calling these New Media Quick Clicks. They’re items that I think you’ll find useful and interesting.

Here’s a batch for you now.

Jason – you can automate the posting of your shared links with Diigo social bookmark service. It will automatically post a digest of your favorite content that you tag to your WP blog at your desired time interval.

      Hi Andy,

Thanks for sharing this. I need a tool that allows me to specify how the post should be formatted and includes a brief summary/note that I enter quickly and easily when I bookmark the item. Does Diigo provide for that?

    Jason –

Yes you can include both an excerpt from the link and your own comments in the digest post.

Diigo just launched version 4.0 and there are many other features!

I’ll definitely check into that. My plan was to use Delicious to bookmark and comment on posts. Then I was going have my VA create the Quick Clicks post once a week.

But I always prefer to automate rather than outsource.
