Your ideal clients need THIS before buying

I’d like to share one way to level up your messaging and attract more ideal clients.

Here’s a quick anecdote to illustrate.

A few years back, I was looking for new ways to manage my anxiety. I’d gone to therapy, taken medication, and read numerous books.

During this time, I encountered several ways to manage anxiety through movement, such as yoga, tai chi, etc.

I’d immediately dismiss them, thinking it was another pitch to exercise more. I already knew that. I was already riding my bike regularly and was tired of being told to exercise more.

A couple of years later, I ran into a blog post about how anxiety is often tied to trauma in the nervous system. Processing this trauma requires doing work through your body, much of which is movement-related.

A light bulb went on! It wasn’t about exercise. This was a missing element in my mental health work, a paradigm shift, a new opportunity I hadn’t pursued.

Suddenly, I went from a “been there done that” dismissive stance to actively looking for a somatic (body work) coach to hire.

They are jaded. They’ve probably tried different things and got varying results, even failed.

They want to categorize your solution and move on quickly UNLESS you can show them why this is a new opportunity for them.

Why is your solution different than what they’ve tried or heard of before?

Give them new hope. Flip their conventional thinking on its head. Help them feel better about why they haven’t succeeded yet—because they hadn’t found you and your solution.

Give them a shot of new hope!

This paradigm shift is a strong opener for your messaging. Often, it should be the first thing you say about your solution.

What is the paradigm shift you offer? Why are you not just one more of the same solutions they’ve already categorized and dismissed in their head?

Next time you struggle to inspire someone to see your solution as the right one for them, ask yourself if you’ve given them a paradigm shift—a reason to believe that this time they will succeed.
