For ten years, I built an online education business called Internet Business Mastery, helping new entrepreneurs launch a business.
This business grew from a launching one of the first business podcasts, which was a top ten show in Apple Podcasts for several years.
While we had amazing success stories (have you heard of Pat Flynn or Olly Richards) and worked with over 10,000 entrepreneurs, something was missing.
Our courses were predominantly digital “do-it-yourself” experiences with a bit of Q&A and a community forum for support.
I could see the students would get much better outcomes if they had better support and tools.
At about that time, I was also itching to get out of the increasingly noisy “make money online” market.
So I left Internet Business Mastery and decided to offer one-on-one coaching to have a closer connection with my clients and offer more personalized help.
Overcoming Maxed Out Client Capacity
I loved it! Until I didn’t. I loved offering increased support and even better results.
But after a couple of years, I maxed out on how many clients I could serve. But I still wanted to help more people and grow my income.
I wanted to have something that allowed me to serve the volume of students I helped with Internet Business Mastery, while also allowing me to provide ample support and deliver awesome results.

And so, I piloted a new program, created and refined systems, and experimented with different ways of working with clients at scale. I studied best practices for teaching and facilitating online.
